Art classes for kids

Four Tuesdays: September 15, 22, 29 and October 6.

Our youngest makers spend a week in each part of the studio. They bake, they build with clay, they paint, and they draw, and they go home with something of their own every single week.

In the kitchen they measure, stir, and learn their way around real tools. In ceramics they roll, pinch, and press clay into shape. In the art room they find out what happens when two colors meet, and how to make a brush do what they want.

Small hands, real materials, and a good amount of mess. Ages 5 to 7. Everything is included.

A little of everything, one week at a time. Children cook, work with clay, paint, and draw, so by the end they have tried every corner of the studio and usually found the one they love.

In the kitchen they measure, mix, and cook something to bring home. In the ceramics studio they build with clay by hand. In the art room they mix color, learn how to handle a brush, and work on line, shape, and composition.

Real materials, real tools, and a small group. Ages 8 to 10. Everything is included.

Up to 10 children, two hours in the culinary studio. Pick one of three:

• Snickerdoodle cookies.
• Vanilla drizzle flower tea cakes.
• Blueberry crumbles.

Includes a personalized apron for every guest, time in the culinary studio, and the party room afterward for refreshments. Tables are covered.

You are welcome to bring your own food, drinks, and paper goods, and the booking family provides those. Parties are non refundable.

• Axolotl. Build your own clay axolotl and paint it whatever colors you like. Home the same day.
• Ice cream. Build an ice cream box, cover it in sprinkles, and paint it mint chocolate chip or your own favorite flavor. Home the same day.
• Dragon. Sculpt a dragon with scales and fire, then paint it in sparkly metallics. Home the same day.
• Paint your own pottery. Monster canisters, always a hit. Ready for pickup a week later.

This party uses the ceramics studio and does not include the party room, though you are welcome to bring drinks in with you. Parties are non refundable.
