Tuesday Creative Studios-6 weeks

Tuesday Studio classes include ceramic studio, drawing and painting studio and crafting studio. Our ceramic classes focus on teaching students how to create art using clay. In these classes, students learn about the properties of different types of clay and how to work with them to create a variety of forms, such as pots, sculptures, and tiles. They may also learn about different glazing techniques and how these techniques can be used to create different effects on the finished piece. Our classes offer a social environment for students to make new friends and have some fun while creating. Creative studio includes drawing and painting which are focused on teaching students the basic techniques of creating art using a variety of mediums, such as pencils, charcoal, and paint. Students in these classes may learn about elements of art, such as line, shape, color, and texture, and principles of design, such as composition and perspective. They may also learn about the different styles and methods used in drawing and painting, and may have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of media and techniques. In our drawing and painting classes, students may work on individual projects and collaborate with their studio-mates to foster a social connection. Each class is tailored to students who may be at different levels, from beginner to advanced. Lastly, our crafting classes are classes that teach students how to create a variety of handmade items, such as jewelry, fuctional art and gifts. In these classes, students learn about different materials and techniques, such as knitting, sewing, crochet, and jewelry-making, and have the opportunity to experiment with these techniques to create their own unique projects.
