Our Studio Drawing and Painting Classes
Provide students with instructional studio time to explore various materials, methods, and concepts related to fine art.
Our environment strives to enhance observational skills, technical proficiency, and creative expression through structured projects and personal exploration with an emphasis on line, shape, form, value, texture, and composition- including observational drawing from life. Materials include the use of media: graphite, charcoal, acrylic, watercolor, and ink. In addition, students are introduced to color-theory, and concepts of learning to understand form through light and shadow. We encourage personal voice and expression, developing original ideas and critiquing artwork with peers in a positive setting.
